Good opening twenty minutes. Dackers managed to somehow miss from no more than two yards out!

Genuinely, I wonder if Dackers wouldn't be a better central defender? He's headed clear from two Port Vale corners.

Both of Port Vale's best chances were off-side.

26th minute protest, with most fans turning their back on the action and singing "get out of our club, get out of our club, you greedy bastard, get out of our club".

Nice to see almost all the Port Vale fans applauding during the protest. They've had more than their fair share of crap owners, so know what we're going through.

29th minute, PV get the ball in the net, but Tutonda was pushed in the build-up.

Edwards went over on his ankle. Looks in pain. Hopefully he'll be okay.

Not bad first half, and the best opportunity was ours. If Dackers had missed the ball, Tollitt would have buried it, but Dackers got a touch and missed from two yards!

Looks very slippery out there.

Good atmosphere, Halo stand making lots of noise.

Macadam on for Tutonda at half-time. Interesting change.

Trever Kettle's son is the man in the middle. Good first half, nothing like his dad. Then second half, three crap decisions in the first ten minutes of second half!

Edwards gone down in the 65th minute with no-one near him. Looks like the twisted ankle from earlier.

Dackers pulled, pushed, pulled again, slightly shoves their lad... ...free-kick to Pork Whale.

Can we have the Kettle from the first-half back please?

I thought there was a foul in the build up to the corner. Someone has just said that to Dave Salmon.

Jones>Slew

We just don't have the players to get over the winning line, lots of effort but the lack of quality up front and in the squad will be our downfall.

Totally agree angler.. Decent effort today but never really looked like scoring

Port Vale 2 or 3 shots on target but scored that's why they are top

This team without investment in January is not good enough for league 2 (sadly don't think we will have any money to improve in January)

Yup

Certainly not outclassed by top of the League, but we're so obviously missing someone who can get chances on target. Dackers isn't a goal scorer. I'd rather see Slew up front. Or, two up front so Dackers can feed someone?

100% effort, and Port Vale celebrating like they won the FA Cup.

Still not sure. I think we're still in a false position. Prior to today's games, we'd played eight of the [then] top ten, so nine out of ten now.

We need to pick up points in the next few games as we play other bottom-half sides.

Kieron Phillips would be a decent signing but doubt we could afford him

Did Connor Ripley touch the ball today.???

Another 0-1 defeat, this time to the top of the league team. We weren't totally outplayed, but look at the players that they could bring on. Our lads gave their best and made Port Vale work hard, but the difference in class of players showed in the end. We can but keep on battling on and hope the idiot owner clears off soon. GET OUT TWITTINGHAM NOW, BEFORE YOU KILL THE CLUB.

Great support mfc. I'd imagine we'd struggle to get 1000 fans pre Covid if bottom of L2. Fans deserve better

Port Vale are a class team with strength in depth and we played some good stuff ourselves today. Fair result but we can't be written off yet. Easier games to come but it is borderline.

Sky live coverage mentioned the protest and showed at least one shot of the Halo Stand with balloons and placards. Must say I'm always impressed by Sky commentary which always mentions our off field plight.
