Magnificent vocal support from all at the Maz just a pity that for all the efforts of the entire team Port Vale were just a wee bit too experienced and like Chesterfield in the previous game relied on the subs to bring fresh legs to the game.

We all know that it's in the striking areas that we are sadly lacking and unless DA can work a miracle in January the signs are there that we could be a relegation candidate simply because we don't have any fire power up front.

Beats me as to why DA refuses to even consider giving Charlie Brown a run out to see if he could improve the lack of goals which has cost us too many games this season.

The lads week in week out play their hearts out but it must be frustrating for those in defense and the engine room to know that up top there is simply nothing for an opposition to be worried about.

Charlie has obviously done something for DA to refuse to even put on the bench. This for me is the only problem I have with DA. He's so bloody minded and stubborn to even contemplate giving Charlie a go.

As for the demo it was good to see a United front when time for fans to turn their backs on the game came around. Also a sincere word of thanks to the Vale fans who joined in the rendition of 'Get out of our club'....Thanks Vale....who know themselves what it is like to have had previous owners who simply didn't give a toss about the clubs survival.
