I don't recall being on Facebook myself so I just used the link provided and was able to read and digest the excellent update from the Trust.

Have to put on record how appreciative I am /we are of their continued updates concerning the sale or otherwise of our club.

Whether it will have the required action by the current owner is open to question BUT at least the Trust are doing all it can to inform the clubs fan base of the on going saga. For that I for one am grateful.

When one considers that all involved at the Trust have their own daily jobs and family duties to undertake, their commitment and dedication to working tirelessly towards a successful outcome is commendable.

Exactly! Sorry but I cannot see a reason that anyone who considers themselves to be a Morecambe FC fan is
not a member of the trust. For the price of a couple of pints/coffees you can help in the drive for YOUR club's survival and show your solidarity with your fellow fans.

Over the years the Trust received some unfair criticism in my opinion as I know how hard everyone worked.
But having said that Tarnia is special and has completely revamped the Trust and given it direction.

Well done for calling him out on the situation and highlighting what most of us could also guess.

Now time for the 1920 Union to get this all over Jason's home area, in the local press, radio etc.

As they say, he needs to take responsibility for his financial situation and sell to the first credible buyer. I just hope there's still interest from other parties.

Well played Shrimps Trust, a much needed gear change and calling out Whittingham for what he is! Tarnia has made a real impact and needs all the members to get on board to help drive the change.

The 1920Union have really forced the matter in recent weeks and it seems that the Trust are willing to do so now! Everybody should get behind them, now is the time to fight for your club!

Agreed Tarnia is a galvanising force! The Trust moto is stronger together and that has never been more appropriate than now. I would class most on Shrimps Voices as a die hard fan and we should all be members of the trust.

When we come through this it would be nice to see Tarnia offered some form of seat on the board (if possible). She is Morecambe through and through and fully switched on to the issues we face and probably the best way to resolve them.

Ferocious and to the point, this surely is the end to dilly dallying and she's managed to do it without swearing like most of the rest of us would do

No guillotine point!!

This could go on for ever!!! :o :o :o

Who the hell made that rule? Wouldn’t a regulating body want information to be supplied which means they can adjudicate properly on a bid. Wouldn’t it show the prospective new owners has the means to buy a club and carry on funding it in the future. Isn’t alarm bells sounding that no information has come forward to the EFL after all these months, so they can make a proper assessment?

This is why I think the Shrimps Trust and the 1920 Union should be shouting out loud about our prospective new owners not showering them selves in glory by their failure to get their act together and give the EFL the information that is required to adjudicate their bid.

Therefore I believe it imperative that Lizzie Collinge should make it her priority for a time limit on supplying information to the EFL when a bid comes in. If our MP does anything she needs to bring that into a Football Governance Bill.

What business person would put up with someone who says they want to buy their football club and have nothing in place not to give the EFL. After several months the information has still not been forwarded so that the EFL can make their adjudication? Well Jason’s does, but there again as I have written before, I think that suites him.

So where it’s being said by quite a few in and outside the Club that we are close to the current prospective buyer’s finally taking control, we are no where nearer, are we. STOP concentrating on Jason, the anonymous buyers need to be called out just as much.

Why is it only the fans (some!!) that think something isn’t right with what is going on. In the meantime chaos prevails.

I mean funds being made available by Jason    Free??? I don’t think that’s how Jason operates.

To be fair to Lizzie Collinge she was at our last home game and is keen to do anything that helps our club even to asking PM about it if she catches the speakers eye. I am sure Tarnia, our excellent chair of the Trust will liaise with her.

Lizzie Collinge has a real say by being on the committee looking into the Football Governance bill and she’s doing a good job supporting Morecambe in the campaign to get Jason to sell. She knows like every Morecambe fan his it is all dragging the club down and any Governance Bill that gets through Parliament to become law really has to be better than the Governance the EFL work too.

Big clubs will want to water down any Bill, UEFA have already spoken out against it. Many people who buy football clubs will not want to be scrutinised any more than they have to.
In my last post, I put, “putting a time limit on a bid is imperative”, if the prospective buyer cannot pass all criteria that’s in place Why should it just be left just open?

Time scales have to be reasonable lengths but 4/5+ months!! Our new prospective owners are anonymous and have not put in the relevant paperwork after all this time, surely the EFL should be able to DECLARE the papers submitted do not meet their criteria and are timed out.

That does not mean the seller has to look elsewhere where. The agreement is still in place between the two parties it’s just not being adjudicated by the EFL due to any submitted paper work being timed out.

It does not alter the club is for sale but the two parties, the EFL and the fans know that it’s not progressing.

Everything is as clear as mud because of the secrecy of the two parties and ineptitude of the EFL being tied by there own rules, no wonder there is speculation surrounding it all.

The trouble is that even if a Regulator bill gets through (and there's no guarantee it will) it would probably
be too late for us.
