Glad that he's gone to Bury. That takes us out of the equation.

No disrespect to DC, he'll be remembered for what he did, but we can do better.

According to Twiss_fan_club on The Football Forum, we've had a bid for a 20 goal a season striker accepted. Hope there is some truth in this.......as well as his prediction that the signing of a new full back will be announced this week.

It says on the visitor website that we are expected to sign a right back this week. The striker, well, that would be good.

The 'better' players hedge their bets and don't commit until as late as possible.

It's not unknown for agents to play one club against another in order for his 'charge' and his own pocket to benefit accordingly.

It's pure speculation on my part, but I'm still confident that a number of significant signings are on the horizon.....

To be fair - a lot of players are not out of contract until the end of June - let's see what happens then!

Danny Carlton's move put on hold due to a problem with the medical according to their fans.

DC signs 2-year deal....
http://www.buryfc.co.uk/page/LatestNews/0,,10422~1690994,00.html

....and a video interview with Alan-0

I wonder what made him sign for them rather than us, or were we not pursuing him? If not, then I hope that we do sign someone who is better. :?

Some interesting comments from the Bury manager, the most interesting being that 'players are looking at the security of a 2 year deal as opposed to money'...

....'both Lowe and DC wanted to play and improve hence why they've come to us...money didn't come into it'.

All credir to Knill, he knew who he wanted and has gone out and got them.

..as long as it isn't against us then great...DC scoring for Bury might help us in an odd kind of way.

D.C. has got his own thread on the Bury board. They are giving his chin(s) some stick and one reckons he's a stone over weight :o .

Welcome to your new family Danny ;)

Fact: Shrews been offered somewhere between £250,000-£400,000 for Grant Holt from Colchester.
Rumour: Andy Bishop been seen at the pro-star stadium.

I'll leave you to make your own minds up.
