morning first ever topic and its not about footie shameful eh! Did anyone else think the bbc coverage of the festival was any good? Personally i think all the talk of jay z and wine lake overshadowed the real star of the weekend !talkin bout shakey of course! [color
Thought the coverage was good, have to agree about Shakey, He's a LEG-END!! Better than some beehive bag 'ed with T.B. , trying to do a "Prezza" punch with that guy in the crowd, who I hope has since had himself checked out for Rabies! Jay Z probably made a few quid on the side selling her "Rocks"!!
"Supporting a football club is about much more than watching football on a Saturday afternoon. It is about the emotional attachment that people have with a club that sticks with them for life"
Thought the coverage was good. Why oh why jay zed was on as headline is beyond me,he's crap and glastonbury is a rock concert and bitching on about 99 problems with a hook nicked from AC/DC just isn't on.
Seeing the verve last night restored my faith...proper proper band
glastonbury isn't a rock concert, it is a music festival. They can put whatever they want on. All this talk of hip hop not being welcome is a load of crap because they've had many rappers on before and it still sells tickets. He's a performer and thats what he did, performed. The same as any other headliner or support act.
I would have said the same, but the other year, we happened to catch Michael Franti and Spearhead - they blew us away - seen them since and they're just as good - catch em if you can
The best mind-altering drug is the truth - Lily Tomlin
god i saw spearhead at glastonbury in 96 still got the mug as well disposable heroes of hiphopresy were superb as well quite enjoyed jay z kings of leon were top just made me wanna do festivals again but no camping
I also attended the more attractive event at manchester that obviously affected this years glasto ticket sales slowdown radiohead were immense, as usual!
Me and the Doris were in't West Country a couple of weks ago. Out of curiosity we stopped off at Glastonbury. It's got to be the most surreal place in England.
