That's absolute class. Just proves what I was saying to somebody at work earlier, that we're not just a football club we're a family.

put me down for my tenner contribution mike.

Just hope they haven't run out of faggots and peas by the time I get there like they had last time.

If you do that I am not making a contribution!

However if you have "Callenders Caravan Kingdom" (properly and not in felt tip!) on the back I will donate £100 (this way Don will send me £200 not to do it!

At this rate we can buy ourselves an electronic 3 dimensional MP3 scoreboard :D

Thanks to everyone who has offered to donate (a few more by PM too). I'll finalise a price and then get back in touch with everyone with means to pay etc. I'll also PM details of all donations so everyone is aware of who did what.

I may have ... errr .... slightly underestimated the length of the banner. I've had it measured properly to get the right proportions and theirs was 3ft x 160ft. So I went and got a quote...

Hi Michael,

I have created the a banner 3ft high and approx. 160ft in length. We can print this as one solid banner.

Price for PVC is £1075.88 ex VAT (Please see out website http://www.thinkbigprintbig.com/banner.htm) We recommend PVC because of the size of the banner.

Because of the nature of the size there will be 72 hours from proof to produce the goods

Payment will need to be taken up front. If this is a problem please call on 01562 865444 and ask to speak to Simon Blunt

:o :o :o :o

I'm going to seek out other options!

Just squash the lettering up a bit!!!

Isn't the Barnet banner in sections? Would that make it cheaper?

Get it done in sections, then we can just substitute "Burton" with other teams in future years

The Barnet one was in 3 sections and would be much easier to carry (save us taking a fork lift!) and the material would'nt have to be as heavy.

If you look at the pic. you can clearly see the 3 sections and taking into account that the goalposts are 24 feet apart I would conclude their banner was only about 100 feet long so they had 3 lengths of approx. 10 yards/metres.

This should cut the price down by at least 60%

Phil, I know John as well and from experience we should ask him now for a banner to welcome Luton back to the Football League!

Ya know what I mean John ;)

To be fair he would be competitive 8-)
