O/T Banksy vs Bristol - spoiler alert

O/T Banksy vs Bristol - spoiler alert

If you intend to go and see the Banksy vs Bristol exhibition, clicking the link below will spoil some of the surprises, turn away now.

If you don't think you'll get to see it, I've uploaded pics from the exhibition. Only using a pocket camera and flash isn't allowed but most of the photos aren't too bad. We still can't stop laughing at the Angel of the North and it'll be on it's way to our geordie family later tonight, doubt they'll speak to us for a while  Tweetie Pie will haunt me for some time and I doubt I'll be able to eat a fish finger or chicken nugget without laughing. If I work out how to include movies in the gallery, I'll add some later which will make some of the pictures easier to understand.

Photos are good but Banksy must be the most overrated turd going. There are countless better at doing what he does but he has marketed himself right and gained a bit of momentum.

No I think you may be forgetting others like Russell Brand, Ricky Gervais and Joey Barton who amongst others are far more deserving of that title. Banksy as far as I can see sometimes makes a statement and at other times has fun and I guess he will be remembered long after the afore
mentioned are long gone, Eric Morecambe and Bobby Charlton they ain't! As for Jackson Pollock, what was all that about ?? :? :? :?

I'm not into the sort of "art" that Banksy is known for but I know about Banksy. He's got himself known, made a few headlines and finally got an exhibition in the city he's known for plastering with graffiti. One day I guess he'll cash in on his famousness but for now the Banksy exhibition at the Bristol musuem is 101% free and I can't recommend it enough for anyone that can get to it. We got there when it opened at 10 and they were queuing for it to open. By 11 the entire ground floor of the museum was in orderly queues. Very thought provoking.

The one where there is that burnt vietnamese girl but her hands are being held by Ronald McDonald and Mickey Mouse. What could he mean? Please. The monkeys in the house of commons? Oooh how edgy.

But each to their own I guess. If people are going and enjoying it then I reckon it's a good thing.

I prefer Bob Ross.
