You are wrong.....

Sammy's actual words are 'While a forward is a priority-I want to sign 3 other players in different positions'....by my simple maths that makes 4

I have the LEP infront of me.

Sammy says he wants a striiker and 3 other players. making 4 in total.

I would settle for Pavel Abbot as a new striker , Ian Craney , Gary Thompson to play right wing back and Gareth Evans as another striker. Thats not being too greedy is it !

Hang on, didn't he say he was targeting two strikers? He is really wanting 2 more players in other positions.

If we could get only Abbot and Craney out of that lot I'd be delighted.

Bradford are now targeting Evans to play alongside Thorne, which means that they can't see Boulding being with them come the first game.

That's what i thought, cant see one being enough, not unless we are planning on playing with a solo striker.

He wants two strikers - looking for a partnership, not just two random blokes, I understand. If he signs an experienced lad first, then expect the other to be a younger, quicker one (and vice-versa depending on who he secures first).
He's also after a right wingback and will then probably go for a midfielder if a good one is available, if not, no sweat. Apart from the specific preferences for strikers, he said all this at the end of last season.

Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Rumours have it that we've signed Evans from Macc and apparently Micky Boulding wants to stay at Bradford.

why, if youve signed evans, have you not announced it yet? Or is it like when you signed thommo last year?

They've only agreed terms, he's not actually signed for them yet. Although it looks highly likely he will.

well i just hope if we sign a left footed left sided player with pace which we obviously need to play in this formation we now play

rather than play Wainwright and Duffy there and all complain how poor they are on these forums week in week out saying get rid of them & what i waste of money etc etc

i hope "fans favorite Adams" plays there then you can all rip him into bits

I don't think people have really complained about Wainwright. I thought he was one of our best attacking players last season. Left wing or right wing. Not too sure about Duffy but I think people are keeping an open mind with him. I'd be happy to start next season with Wainwright on the left and Duffy on the right. Drummond and Stanley in the middle and that's a quality midfield.

I really hope we can get a proven striker. It's a long time since we've had a striker who consistenly gets us goals in the league.

am not getting at Wainwright i thought he was class in pre-season and in a 4 4 2 before SM started playing him out of position, with just playing 3 Center-back system

and thats what am getting at, a right-back/wing-back is not a urgency but a left-back/wing-back is

and a Class Striker goes without saying

according to an Accy fan on their forum Morecambe have offered Jimmy Ryan a 2 year contract on significantly better terms than he has been offered by them.
