Out of work

Out of work

1July and a lot of footballers will have received their final pay packets.

Now the transfer season really kicks in.

Let's hope that Sammy has already got a couple (strikers?) lined up after the dissapointment of the last few weeks. However having read some details about Allen I'm not that too upset about him renaging on the deal.

I know the guy is only 19 but Jack Brierly if given the chance could go along way to answering our goal scoring requirements.

With the steadying influence of the experienced Garreth Farrelly in midfield who knows we may be in the thick of the promotion hunt, although survival is the number 1 priority.

Are we actually linked with Farrelly? If so I think he would strengthen our midfield, is he on trial with us or something?

Trained with the squad back end of last season to get some fitness after his illness.
Then played 5 or 6 games with the Res and Sammy invited him down to pre-season training. No commitment or anything.

Same applies with Jack Brierly although of course he wasn't ill or trying to get fit...I think.

If Farrelly gets to full fitness I think he'd walk into the team, thats if he decides to stay after he gets fit...
