Good result today.

Looks like this might be Danny Carlton's year. Thompson played the full 90 for Scunthorpe. Baker played the second 45 for Stockport and almost won it for them in the last minute with a brilliant solo effort.

We were certainly worthy for the point today.

Roach - 7 Didn't really have a great deal to do but looked solid.
Parish - 9 MOTM. Looked comfortable on the ball, won numerous headers and got up the flank all afternoon.
Bentley - 7 Strong in the air.
Artell - 6 Got caught out of position far too much today but took his goal very well.
Adams - 7 Had a thankless task without a left winger to help cover for most of the game.
Wainwright - 8 Our main creative element in the team and happily jinxed past the Wycombe defence on a few occasions.
Carr - 7 Decent debut. Very nearly scored straight after the equaliser with a fine strike.
McLachlan - 7 Got stuck in and won the ball in the centre of the park. Also prone to stray passes.
Hunter - 8 Chased down everything and must have covered more ground than any other player on the pitch.
Blinkhorn 6 - Worked hard and made himself available but got beaten to the ball on too many occasions and haD little end product.
Howe 8 - Didn't recieve a lot of service today, but was strong and showed some great touches. Will score atleast 20 goals this year if we can keep him interested.

Great start to the season.

Good to start the season with an away point, especially against a good team from last season. Havn't had a lot of time to look at the website being in america this summer but our squad looks good especially in midfield. Havn't seen this howe upfront yet but hopefully he'l be what we've been missing. Also takes the pressure off with 2 teams starting on -17 bring on forest.
Get over it ;)

I think we were unlucky not to get all three points. The goal line clearance was excellent defending for them. I agree with Tom's assessment in the main although I thought Parish was caught out of position a few too many times in the first half, leading to them getting a few good crosses in. Also thought a few too many of Carr's passes went astray but over all, a solid performance and a good result.

So how did that work out then?

Think you must mean second half keith?? most of the dangerous crosses came from Gavin Grant down their right flank giving Danny Adamns quite a bit to do think it was the midfield who needed to be a tighter?
good result all round though
hope you make notts forest!!

Quite right they did and this will always happen when we play with one winger.

If I was Peter Taylor, I would have had his right back pushing right up against Danny Adams for the whole game. Afterall he didn't have a left winger to defend against! The warning signs are there and that's no fault of Dannys.

Wayne did very well off the bench but isn't a season long winger in league 2.
