This will surprise a few on here....but I'm delighted. :D :D :D

BUT don't expect me to keep quiet when, in my opinion, things are going wrong, as they will do for every team during a season.

Hold on everybody:

"Both have signed on until the end of the 2010/11 season at Christie Park"

I was under the impression there won't be a 2010/11 season at Christie Park which suggests to me we've lost the pair of them to Sainsbury's!!

Both have signed on until the end of the 2010/11 season at Christie Park.

So they are working for Sainbugs then? and not coming to The Globe?

excellent news.

Good to know Sammy and Mark will be there to steer us through our first season at The Globe Arena.

There will be clubs dispensing with managers in the close season and its great that ours are signed up.

I was unhappy with the management team at the beginning of the season but Sammy and Mark have done wonders in turning the season around, therefore I believe this to be a great thing for the club, its always good to see stability within a club!!

Is it just me or is there a renewed determination in Sammys' voice and actions.

A couple of his interviews recently seem to me to portray a different attitude. None of the little Morecambe this, little Morecambe that anymore, but a real dissapointment that we didn't roll up at the team second in the table and take something from them and a genuine determination to one way or another put the patchy away form right.

It was also interesting to see how readily Twissy and Adams were sent packing when he thought he could get better elsewhere. He didn't baulk for a second at releasing a club legend, Twissy, and his personal 'mate' Adams, who's been at several clubs with him. I know theres not much room for sentiment in football management but it still takes strong character to do what he's done.

If not this season then there seems to be a real determination to enter the new era with a bang starting next season. All in all very encouraging and two very good appointments.

Now come on Barry, you know you want to!

interesting were it to be true but it's not. Both players were made aware they were not part of Sammy's plans for next season. Rather than sitting on the bench for three months they approached the manager and the club to agree a deal to be released from their contracts so could play regular football elsewhere.

sounds like Sammy has real plans in who he wants to bring in exiting times add that to maybe a chance of the play offs plus a new ground on the way (which by the way is looking fantastic) it is a very good time to be a Morecambe fan
