I thought Grimsby were short of cash last season? Have they got a new backer, gone poo or bust or was I wrong in thinking they had financial problems in the first place?

I don't think they had financial problems, just couldn't get a bunch of players to play as a team!

Decent attendance, new ground on the horizon, it WAS all looking rosey for them.
Personally thought they under performed for the past 2 seasons hence their relegation battles!

Grimsby sold their teenage captain, central defender and England Under-18 player Ryan Bennett to Peterborough for an initial £500,000 rising to as much as £1 million. He's pretty much funding everything.

We all know how tought the conference is, you can play the nicest of football but get kicked lumps out of by teams fighting for relegation! The bookies have them as second favourites to win the league after Luton, but they need to work as a team!

Contracts for several target players final run out this Wednesday. Rumours of a couple of very interesting signings.
