Did you notice one of the poles were missing? Maybe they lower them to fit the lights rather than shin up the pole

I think one of the recent photos showed some wheels at the foot of the pylons where they can be hinged and lowered for maintenance etc.

How about Callender Caravans sponsoring the floodlights ?

Yep - they are on a pulley system too so they can be lowered and (insert name of short person here) can put the flags on.

I would also expect the Globe to attract non-football people to the functions they put on and with some good PR, turn them into supporters. As much as I would expect supporters to consider the Globe for their do's.

I think Dan was trying to say that football is ultimately our main business. We should have been concentrating on that side of things more!

You always have an answer for everything "Knowitall" is what you now go by.

..and how do we finance the future of our club. :?: :?: :?:

Oh.....silly me....from the Directors of course. Like we have done for the past 89 years!

Get real....

At what point did i mention the future finance of the club or say that we didn't need the extra facilities?

Would you care to explain your comment a little further? I also think that one 'smiley' is enough, no need to click them in anger CC.

You're quite correct Sammy H. By not contributing anything towards this discussion you can safely deny anything someone might suggest you have said. Now, if you dared to stick your neck out and make a contribution to the thread instead of personal digs, we can get back to the topic.

Which is what i did :)

I don't think it's about 'daring' to stick my neck out. Alot of things have been said about this whole saga and my contribution would mirror alot of the ones already been made, so i don't feel i need to contribute. But if your 'daring' me then i may have too

Feel free to get the thread back on topic Gnasher...

Where are the new signings that people said would arriving because after the 1st of july the contracts expire ??? where are the signings that were meant to arrive because of our supposidly new stadium ???
Potential money making friendlys cancelled.
I think the whole episode is a utter disgrace !!!!!!!!!!

That sounds like it was YOU who was the 'upset' one, but you suggest (repeatedly!) that others should not be allowed to disagree with you?

It's just a shame that some regulars on here are never able to express their own opinion while at the same time accepting that not everyone will agree with them without getting "upset"!

We are going to have a record number of threads locked if people don't chill......"Good old Poulton Prawn eh..." Always right said previously "Oh don't worry I'am over it"
It would seem the bitter taste remains...Loads of projects get behind, our Hall stairs and Landing for instance. Just chill there is F.A. we can do about the situation.

Delayed due to corner cutting in the electrics. They failed H + S so a part of the arena has had to be re done.

Wasn't there one last week? I wouldn't have thought there'd be another until announcing the opening day.
